My Fall Centerpiece

I couldn't help but put out my Fall decorations last night.  Here is one of them! The all important table centerpiece.

Here are some of the things I try to keep in mind when putting together a centerpiece.

  1. Levels- Make sure you have some high, low and middle.
  2. Coordinating colors and theme- The mercury glass goes with the rustic look of the pumpkins, silver and details etc.
  3. CANDLES- I love candles and always try to incorporate at least one.

There you go! My fall centerpiece!

Don't Have a Candle Warmer? Want the Same Effect for Free?!

You know that candle you LOVE.  That candle that gets burnt down to looking like this?

What do you do now? You don't want to throw it away right? (I think we all have a little bit of hoarder in us :) ) Well now you don't have to!!! GREAT NEWS!!!

I for one do not have a candle warmer a) because I'm cheap frugal and b) because I have no need for one when I started doing this...

Take your worn out candle and place it on a baking sheet or pan of some sort (really anything that can go in the oven will do. I use a 9" round pan because its easiest for me.

Put the pan on an eye of your stove and turn the oven on to a little bit higher than LOW.

(Please excuse the dirty stove knob...but after all we do live in this house!)

Place the candle in the center of the pan...

And wait for the aroma of that favorite once useless candle fill your home.

I know it's not the prettiest way to heat those old candles BUT it does work and it is done with things you already have at home.

(Also this can be a good way to get those plastic labels off of the glass candle containers that can be repurposed!)
